Possible Changes Coming To The Trotter Convention Center

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – That deadly shooting is expected to lead to changes at the Trotter Convention Center.

City leaders addressed that possibility at a press conference on Monday.

Mayor Robert Smith will present a proposal to the city council at a special called meeting Tuesday morning .

Mayor Smith would not go into specifics today about that plan.

“Well, in fairness and consistency with the other businesses, and we need to make adjustments when incidents, or a tragedy of this magnitude occurs, also.”

Smith says because the Trotter Center is city owned, it must lead by example.
