Possible Plea Deal In Works For Calhoun Supervisor
CALHOUN COUNTY (WCBI) – Calhoun County supervisor Earnest Fox could be cutting a deal with the federal government.
Judge Sharion Aycock has granted a motion delaying his federal trial on extortion charges until July 25th. In her ruling Aycock cites ongoing plea agreement talks as the reason for the delay. Fox is charged with extortion for allegedly forcing timber haulers to donate to his re-election campaign in order to continue working in Calhoun County. Fox has until July 11th to reach a plea agreement with the government in the case.
