Preliminary Hearing Held for Corinth Man

CORINTH, Miss. (WCBI) – The Corinth Municipal Court held a preliminary hearing Thursday for the man arrested in relation to the stabbing death of Greg Scott.

Jerry Miller, 59, or Corinth, was charged with murder and felony malicious mischief as a result of Scott’s death.

Police were dispatched the morning of Feb. 27 to 206 Nelson St. for a possible vehicle burglary. When authorities arrived on the scene, screams were heard from 302 Nelson St. When they investigated the screams, police found Scott on the floor bleeding from the chest from an apparent stab wound.

Scott told the authorities who stabbed him before being taken to the hospital.

Miller is being held at the Alcorn County Jail on a $500,000 bond for murder and a $10,000 bond for felony malicious mischief.
