Prentiss County Juvenile Search

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On Friday December 1st, 2017 the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department responded to a disturbance call on Highway 4 East involving a 15 year old male juvenile.

Juvenile ended up running into woods.

Baldwyn Police Department was contacted and assisted with a K9 in the search for the juvenile.

The K9 search was unsuccessful. Deputies searched the area throughout the night and following day.

Blackland Search and Rescue (Bud Lindsey and Ellis Long) also assisted in the search.

The following day Candlers Chapel Baptist Church on County Road 3151 reported a window broke at the back of the building.

The juvenile was located hiding in the Church.

The juvenile was transported to Corinth Juvenile Detention Center.
