President Trump approves federal disaster declaration for Clay County flooding

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – President Trump approved a federal disaster declaration for flooding in Clay County.

The flooding event happened on Feb. 10 through 18.

This public assistance grant program is to help reimburse local governments for work performed during the disaster timeline.

Thirteen other counties are included in the declaration, including Attala, Carroll, and Grenada Counties.

MEMA believed the damages in the state are at least $50 million.
