Press Release: Police respond to difficult medical situation

TUPELO, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On Tuesday April 10, 2018 at approximately 05:30 PM Tupelo Police responded to a residence on South Feemster Lake Road in reference to a medical crisis.

A family member was concerned about a loved one in possible emotional crisis.

The person needing medical evaluation was uncooperative and refused to exit the home for evaluation.

Due to reports that weapons were in the home officers and medical personnel negotiated with the patient who eventually exited without incident.

At this time no criminal charges are anticipated and this is being treated as a medical call.
