Prom comes to Le Bonheur’s for Shannon teen after tough surgery

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WCBI) – Thanks to a talented doctor, caring family, and a lot of extra love, a local girl gets the prom she deserves while in the hospital.

Savannah Williams is a junior at Shannon High School, currently in Le Bonheur’s Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.

Through some complications, Savannah has undergone some tough surgeries.

The latest surgery has only been performed 20 times in the U.S. and though successful, it caused her to miss her prom.

However, thanks to the kindness of some nurses, prom got brought to her.

The mini-prom was caught on cam by a sister of Savannah’s and has passed 10,000 views on Facebook.
