Quiet Start to Easter Weekend
THURSDAY NIGHT: Clouds are going to linger around the region but the rain will come to an end. Lows should end up being in the upper 40s. Winds become northwesterly between 5 and 15 mph.
FRIDAY: Early clouds are expected to give way to plentiful sunshine as the day goes on. Afternoon highs in the mid to upper 60s are likely. Northwesterly winds continue between 10 and 15 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT: Clear, calm, and cool conditions settle in. Lows in the low 40s or upper 30s are likely.
SATURDAY: A fantastic day of weather is on track for the Twin States. Plan on mainly sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s. It’ll be perfect for an Easter egg hunt!
EASTER SUNDAY: A cold front may sag into north Mississippi and Alabama. If this occurs then the northern half of our area will have more clouds, a chance of showers, and perhaps highs only in the 60s or 50s. Farther south towards the Golden Triangle there may be more sun and warmer highs in the 70s. Suffice to say there is a chance for a wide variety of weather around the region.
NEXT WEEK: The latest data suggest a warming trend for Monday and Tuesday followed by another cold front Tuesday evening and night. That would be the next chance of any active weather.
