Rain exits today, cooler for the weekend

Strong storms will remain possible through about 8am today, but most of the day will be dry and warm. Temperatures will cool down for the weekend with some showers possible on Saturday. 

FRIDAY: Most of the rain activity will be gone by 8am, leaving us dry for the rest of the day. We could even see some sunshine as temperatures rise into the upper 60s. Areas along I-55 could be a bit cooler. Winds will remain breezy with gusts up to 25 mph possible.

FRIDAY NIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cooler. Lows in the low 40s.

SATURDAY: Clouds will build back in through the day on Saturday and a shower or two is possible in the afternoon. We’ll be cool with highs only around 50.

SUNDAY-TUESDAY: Sunshine will return for Sunday and into next week with temperatures remaining in the 50s and 60s. Overnight lows will be in the 30s.

WEDNESDAY-THURSDAY: Clouds will build back into the area through the day on Wednesday and we’ll have the chance for some showers on Thursday. Highs on Wednesday will be in the low 60s but we’ll be into the 50s on Thursday.
