SATURDAY: Clouds should fill in during the day but we’ll stay dry during the daylight hours. Highs are going to be around 50. Southeasterly breezes between 10 and 15 mph pick up.

SATURDAY NIGHT/SUNDAY MORNING: Rain showers are likely. Computer model data suggest the potential for 1/4” to 1” of moisture during this time. One limiting factor for heavy rainfall here may be a batch of showers and storms that could develop along the Gulf Coast. It would rob moisture that would otherwise head our way. Significant rainfall here is by no means a slam dunk at this time but we’ll see how it goes.

SUNDAY: Morning clouds and showers are likely but skies are expected to clear out during the afternoon. Highs may push up close to 60 in the wake of the unsettled weather. If we’re lucky we’ll be able to salvage the end of the weekend.

NEXT WEEK: Seasonable and sunny weather makes a brief appearance on Monday but another cold front moves in late Tuesday and Wednesday. That front may have more moisture with it and along with a better chance of thunderstorms.  It’ll be something to watch for sure.
