Recovery walk comes to Columbus

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- Pines and Cady Hills Recovery Center hosted their annual ” No One Walks Alone ” walk for National Recovery Month.

Participants started the walk down Main Street, ending it at the Columbus Soccer Complex.

Director Keenyn Wald says the center puts on the march to bring awareness to drug and alcohol addiction.

“We don’t want to be so hidden. Addiction can be very isolating and can pull us away from our support systems. So the idea is lets walk down and show people that recovery is possible, ” said Wald.

Wald looks forward to putting on the walk again next year.
