Relief for Some, Heat for Others

TONIGHT: Any lingering rain showers will clear out overnight leaving some clouds. Temperatures will be in the mid 70s, but it will still be very muggy and uncomfortable.

SUNDAY: The heat and humidity remain in place. Highs will return to the low 90s, but again the heat index may be above 100°. The best chance for rain showers is in the late afternoon, with the peak heating. Rain chance is 40%. Not everyone will see rain, but those who do will experience heavy downpours and  some relief from the heat.

MONDAY & TUESDAY: Monday brings the highest chance for rain as a weak frontal boundary will spawn more rain showers. Tuesday will also see some afternoon showers. Temperatures will be near 90 both days with overnight temperatures in the mid 70s.

LATE NEXT WEEK: Rain chances begin to decrease Wednesday through Friday, but temperatures will once again climb into the mid 90s. The humidity will continue and heat indices will stay in the upper 90s and low 100s in the afternoon. More rain moves back into the forecast by next Saturday as temperatures come back closer to normal.
