Resident charged with failing to maintain dogs

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) A Mooreville woman faces several charges after dogs she owns attacked cattle on a Lee County farm.  Sheriff Jim Johnson says the attacks took place Monday and involved pit bulls and pit bull mixed dogs.  The animals are accused of chasing the cattle until they collapsed and attacking them around the head and ears.  One calve died from the stress of running from the animals

19 year old Katelyn Wood is charged with  2 counts of Failing to have Rabies Tag
2 counts of Failing To Produce Paperwork for Proper Vaccine
2 counts of failing county ordnance for Possession of Dangerous or Aggressive Animal
Johnson says some of the livestock were carrying calves and it will be later before it can be determined if the chase and wounds will affect the births.
