Robbery Arrest In Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Security cameras catch two alleged thieves in the act, assisting police in their capture.

After officers viewed the surveillance footage at the Tobacco Superstore on North Lamar Boulevard, Crystal Townsend and Cedric Williams were identified as the alleged robbers.

Law enforcement later learned that the two were in the Brittany Apartments.

Townsend and Williams were arrested there and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.

Williams is charged with Robbery and Possession of Cocaine with bond set at $100,000.

While Townsend was charged for Conspiracy to Commit Robbery with a bond set at $60,000.
