Saltillo Police Officer Indicted

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On 07-20-2017 the Lee County Sheriff Department was contacted by Guntown Police Department about a possible theft by an ex-employee.

Guntown Police Department said on 05-31-2017 Officer Scotty Bradley had left employment with Guntown and went to work full time with Saltillo Police Department.

Guntown Police Department said that two of their police cars had items stolen out of them. Upon further investigation by Guntown Police Department they discovered that some of their stolen equipment was in a Saltillo Police unit issued to Scotty Bradley.

Further investigation by the Lee County Sheriff Department into the incident and by witness statements it was found that on at least one occasion Officer Bradley went into a Guntown Police vehicle and stole items while he was on duty working for Saltillo P.D.

He also replaced some equipment with old equipment in an attempt to cover up the crime. Based on all information found throughout the investigation the case was presented to a Lee County Grand Jury.

Scotty Bradley was indicted for two counts of Auto Burglary.
