Scattered Storms Start This Evening

TONIGHT: A few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible through the evening, particularly in the Golden Triangle.  Areas towards I-22 including Tupelo may get a sprinkle, but we’re not betting on it.  Look for lows tonight in the low 70s with increasing clouds by morning.

MONDAY: We’ll start the day with more clouds than sun.  Look for highs in the mid to upper 80s with the heat index as high as 95 during the day.  Starting from lunchtime onwards, we’ll watch for scattered pop-up showers and thunderstorms across the entire area.  Not everyone gets a storm, but if you do it’ll help cool you off for awhile.

TUESDAY – SATURDAY: Much of the same with on again, off again showers and storms due to the afternoon heating.  Look for mornings to be mostly dry and afternoons with a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms with them fizzling out after sunset.  We’ll stay warm with temperatures in the upper 80s to low 90s with plenty of moisture in the air. It’s a very typical summertime forecast for our area.
