A Few Scattered Storms Today. Widespread Rain Tonight.
TODAY: A few scattered showers and storms possible today, mainly in the afternoon. These will be sporadic in coverage through the day, with the heavier line of showers and storms staying off to the west, potentially causing flooding issues in the delta. In our neck of the woods, expect highs to climb into the mid to upper 70s. Heavier rain starts moving in late tonight, generally after midnight. An isolated strong to severe storm will be possible along the line. Lows in the low 60s.
THURSDAY: Highs in the upper 60s, with widespread heavy rain likely from the morning to early afternoon hours. An isolated strong to severe storm will be possible, generally along and southeast of the Natchez Trace Parkway. Rainfall amounts will be around 1-4 inches across our area over the two day period, with locally higher amounts. Meaningful rain should end overnight, but a few light lingering showers cant be ruled out. Lows in the 40s.
FRI/SAT: Drier weather to round out the week. Highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s, with mostly sunny skies. Lows will be in the 40s.
EASTER SUNDAY: A few isolated showers will be possible from mid morning to mid afternoon, but it certainly doesnt look like a washout. Partly sunny, with highs in the low 70s. Overnight lows drop to around 50°.
MON/TUE: We remain partly sunny with highs in the low 70s to kick off the work week. Isolated showers will also remain in the forecast. Lows in the low 50s.
