School Delays and Cancellations

OKOLONA AND NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Okolona students will start school a little later than normal tomorrow, January 4, and Friday.

School will begin at 8:30 a.m. both days.

Buses will also run an hour later than normal.

Superintendent Dexter Green says cold temperatures and student safety are the reasons for the delayed start.

And Christmas break will last a couple of days longer in Noxubee County.

A Water Main break has forced administrators to postpone the start of the Spring Semester until Friday January 5th.

Classes will begin at the usual time.
