Search On For Columbus Shooting Suspect

COLUMBUS (CPD RELEASE) – The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the area of Waterworks Rd. and 7th Ave. N. around 1030pm last night.

The victim was shot in the upper chest area and was flown to UMMC in Jackson. He was conscious and able to provide some insight into the shooting.

His condition is not known at the present time and we are working diligently to make an arrest in this case.
