Second Arrest Made Home Invasion Investigation

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A second Lowndes County home invasion suspect is arrested in Tennessee and brought back to Mississippi.

Lonnell Thompson appeared in court this afternoon.

He was taken into custody in Rutherford County, Tennessee.

Thompson is charged with 3 counts of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon and 3 Counts of Armed Robbery..

His bond was set at over $600,000.

The home invasion happened last July on Tabernacle Road.

Tommy Deloach was also charged in connection with this crime.

Lowndes County investigators say there were six victims in the incident.

Brian Bishop was one of those victims. He was shot numerous times but recovered.

Other arrests are expected in the home invasion.

Deputies say the suspects and victims knew each other and are involved in drug activity.

Bishop was arrested yesterday, January 18, for allegedly biting a Lowndes County Narcotics Task Force agent.
