Settlement signed ending lawsuit between former Calhoun City police officer and former chief

CALHOUN CITY, Miss. (WCBI) – A federal judge signed a settlement ending a lawsuit between a former Calhoun City Police officer and the town’s former chief.

Greg Sockwell was fired in 2017 months after answering a domestic disturbance call at the home of former Chier Tito Lopez.

Sockwell claimed Lopez targeted him after Sockwell admitted he had discussed answering the disturbance call with other officers.

The terms of the agreement are confidential
