Several apartment units damaged from fire in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Firefighters continue cleanup at a Columbus Housing Authority apartment building Friday afternoon.

The apartments on 12th avenue north in Columbus were filled with smoke.

It all started just about 11 a.m. But there was a quick response and no apparent injuries.

Several units are damaged. With firefighters still on the scene, there is no confirmation as to how the fire started.
