Shooting Suspect Denied Bond

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — The man Columbus police say was involved in a Monday night shooting in the city’s northside is denied bond.

Johnny Bonner faced numerous charges, including five counts of aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon by a felon.

Investigators say Bonner also had a stolen handgun like the one used in the shooting at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive and 18th Avenue, Monday night.

Two cars where hit by gunfire, but no one was hurt.
