COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Gunshots from a passing vehicle are fired into a home on Columbus’ Southside early this [Thursday] morning.

Six people were asleep inside a Third Avenue South home when four shots rang out apparently striking the door and shattering the front window. According to residents at that location, just minutes before six o’clock the 22 year old daughter of Hilda Fox hurriedly woke everybody up. Someone saw a silver Honda with either Meridian or Lauderdale car tag  that was seen driving in the area earlier that night leaving the scene.

“She had a dream that somebody was shooting at the house and she got up and said hit the floor. And I guess about a minute later the shots were fired,” said Hilda Fox, Columbus.

According to Fox three shot gun shell casings were found near her house.
