Showers and storms join in on the 4th of July festivities

TONIGHT: Clouds will continue to move in as the gulf moisture returns. Some showers are possible south of US-82. Temperatures will drop into the low 70s.

THURSDAY/FRIDAY: The showers and humidity will begin to return to the area. Rain will not be widespread, but nearly everyone could see a shower at some point in the next few days. Temperatures will be in the mid-upper 80s.

WEEKEND:  More scattered showers and storms are expected as temperatures stay muggy in the upper 80s.

MONDAY/TUESDAY: Some scattered showers and storms cannot be expected. Temperatures will climb close to 90 degrees as we approach the 4th of July.  Not everyone gets a storm and it’s likely that we’ll get many of our fireworks celebrations a green light, but we’ll have to keep monitoring.
