Showers and Storms linger through the holiday weekend

TODAY: There is a 50% chance of showers and storms. It won’t be a washout all day, but there could be periods where we see heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning, which could impact outdoor plans. Make sure to keep an eye to the sky and have alternate plans if the showers and storms impact your location. Highs will be in the upper 80s with heat indices in the mid 90s.

TONIGHT: Rain chances diminish overnight, so most firework shows will likely go off as planned. Though a stray shower cannot be ruled out. Temperatures will be in the low-mid 70s and winds will become calm after sunset.

TOMORROW:  The chance of rain drops slightly to 40% but a few storms and shower are certainly possible.  Highs will be around 90 with heat indices in the upper 90s.

MONDAY – FRIDAY:  Typical summer weather sticks around for the 2nd half of the holiday weekend and the shortened work week. Daily rain chances remain at 30%.  Look for highs in the low 90s with heat indices pushing 100 at times. Overnight lows stay in the low 70s.
