Six people qualify for the Aberdeen mayoral special election

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Six people qualified for the Aberdeen mayoral special election.

However, the deadline to qualify is not until March third.

The mayor’s seat came open after former Mayor Maurice Howard pleaded guilty to embezzlement and was given a ten-year suspended sentence.

The special election will be on March 16th.
