TUPELO, Miss. – (WCBI) A program that saved small businesses more than $800,000 in utility costs has been extended. Northern District Public Service Commissioner Brandon Presley announced that the PSC led incentives have been renewed for another year.

That incentive program allows small businesses to have reduced rates and alternative deposit options for their utility bills.

Presley made the announcement at the new location of Trulove’s Auto Center in East Tupelo.

“This is an example of a business that got assistance and it helped them save money and we should do everything we can to help our small business owners, who create jobs here , who don’t carry jobs overseas who are helping our communities,” says Presley.

More than 2,200 small businesses have been helped through the incentive program.
