Smithville grocery store destroyed in fire

SMITHVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- The town of Smithville will face yet again, having to build another grocery store. This time after a fire.

Smithville Town Clerk Kim Clemons Johnson, says the Smithville Discount Variety and Grocery store caught fire late Monday evening.

The fire broke out around 7 p.m.

The store reopened last April after rebuilding from the April 2011 tornado.

Johnson say no one was injured in the blaze.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
