Smithville Man Arrested For Riding Dirty

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Smithville man is facing multiple charges after police caught him riding dirty.

Amory Police arrested 38-year-old Jason Szerkins on Friday.

Around 8:00 am, officers saw a vehicle pull into a car wash on Highway 278 East.

They left for a while, and when they returned to check the area again, the vehicle wasn’t using the car wash.

Szerkins, along with driving an unwashed car, was also driving with a suspended license.

He was arrested, and a quick search turned up methamphetamine.

Szerkins is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of paraphernalia, driving with a suspended license, and no proof of insurance.

Szerkins’ bond was set at $20,000 dollars.

Szerkins also has a hold placed on him by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office

He remains in jail tonight.
