Special Election For Ward 2 In Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – Aberdeen voters are hitting the polls again today, but only if they live in Ward 2.

Three candidates are facing off for the ward’s open alderman seat.

Lady B. Garth, Doug Stone, and Terry Morgan are running for the position.

The race is similar to last August’s special election for alderman.

Morgan and Stone both ran in that race, but were beat by Cloyd Garth Jr.

Garth recently had to give up his seat because he is the interim superintendent for the Hazlehurst City School District.

Voters can vote for the Ward 2 special election at the Monroe County Circuit Courthouse. Polls close at 7.
