Starkville Ward 5 Alderman resigns

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Patrick Miller is stepping down from city government.

The Starkville Ward 5 Alderman resigned Monday. His resignation takes affect immediately.

Miller has accepted a position out of town.

He will finish this semester as an instructor in the extension department at Mississippi State.

Miller focused his work on city governments, along with community and leadership development.

Starkville Mayor Lynn Spruill said the Board of Aldermen will discuss a special election at Tuesday’s board meeting.
