Starkville Native Wins In First Round At Miss Mississippi

VICKSBURG, Miss. (WCBI) – It was a big night at the Miss Mississippi preliminary competition for Starkville native Tanner Fant.

Fant tied for first place in the talent competition Wednesday night in Vicksburg.

Fant performed a dance. She says being on stage as a contestant was a dream come true.

Last year, she was as performer and decided she wanted to compete this year.

Preliminary competitions continue Thursday and Friday. A new Miss Mississippi will be crowned Saturday night.
