Starkville PD helps celebrate National Nursing Home Week

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A group of senior citizens and their caregivers were given a cup coffee with a side of conversation from the men and women who protect and serve them.

Starkville PD officers and other city leaders gathered at the Carrington Nursing Center Monday morning in honor of National Nursing Home Week.

May 12-18 is set aside to honor administrators, nurses and aides who provide compassionate care to the seniors at nursing homes or assisted living facilities.

Around a dozen Starkville officers came out.

Mayor Lynn Spruill read a proclamation as everyone at the center enjoyed a nice warm cup of joe.
