Starkville police are investigating a shooting that happened on Wednesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville police are investigating a shooting that left a person injured.

The shooting happened early Wednesday morning in the area of North Montgomery Street and Garrard Road.

Information about the incident was just released to the media today.

Officers found a person that had been shot multiple times when they arrived on the scene.

Now, investigators are asking for help finding a silver Chevrolet Malibu with tinted windows that could have been in the area around 3:50 AM.

The car is possibly a 2016 to 2019 model.

Police did not release a condition update on the victim.
