Starkville shooting leaves one man dead

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – The Starkville Police Department responded to a call at 10:08 p.m. on Friday, February 8th, 2019 after reports of gunfire at West Main Arms apartments at the intersection of West Main Street and South Long Street.

Police say after approaching a vehicle they discovered a dead male in the driver’s seat with an apparent gunshot wound.

The exact motive for the shooting has not been released nor has the victim’s name.

The incident is currently under investigation.
