Starkville teachers start semester with new iPads

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Starkville teachers are welcomed back to class with iPads.

The Starkville Oktibbeha Consolidated School District rolled out the new technology for district teachers.

It’s part of their “one to one” initiative.

Students in Starkville will have access to iPads, so administrators want to make sure the teachers are comfortable with the technology as well.

“Trying out how to use this technology in a way that is engaging, that allows for the students to be creative in a meaningful way and to problem solve and to work in groups collaboratively to produce something that show knowledge that they have that they probably could not do sitting at their seat indvidually,” said teacher Jon Zarandonn.

School is back in session for Starkville students and teachers Monday.
