STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – Some folks in Starkville put in a little elbow grease to help clean-up some fire stations.

Volunteer Starkville and the Maroon Volunteer Center organized this afternoon’s “serve those who serve us” event.

Teams of people washed fire trucks, swept, and even mopped floors.

Starkville High students were at Fire Station 1, making sure the fire engines were cleaned.

Volunteer Starkville says the chores are a way to show support and gratitude the first responders.
