Starkville Woman Gets 8 Years For Role In 2013 Murder

STARKVILLE (WCBI) – A 2013 Starkville murder case is now wrapped up with the final suspect entering a plea.

27 year old Charleka Brooks will do eight years in prison on an accessory after the fact charge. Brooks admitted in court Monday she helped hide Milton Jamal Brown. He’s the man who shot Ellis Bishop to death at a Starkville car wash back in July 2013. Brown is doing 60 years in prison. The 3rd suspect in the case, 27 year old Philip Mason is heading to prison for 20 years on an accessory charge.
