Storm Damage Numbers In Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – A new storm damage report came out at Thursday morning’s Emergency Management Agency meeting.

It lists the number of homes and buildings impacted by the tornado and flooding.

273 structures and 93 homes were affected and out of those numbers, 31% are rental units and 36% of those impacted didn’t have insurance.

43 homes were destroyed, 57 homes suffered major damage and 80 homes are left with minor damage.

The updated numbers and counts come from information developed through March 4th.

All numbers and counts are subject to change because of the ongoing situation.
