JACKSON, Miss. (AP) – A storm system dumped heavy rain on parts of central and north Mississippi and four people were injured in Sharkey County when high winds toppled a mobile home near Anguilla.

In Union County, emergency management officials reported several mobile homes were blown off their foundations near Myrtle but there were no injuries.

The storm system left scatted power outages.

Sharkey County Sheriff Lindsey Adams Jr. says four people were injured when a mobile home was damaged. Adams says when emergency crews arrived around 11 p.m. Wednesday they found a mobile home completely destroyed.

Two of the four were in stable condition Thursday at Sharkey Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork. Two others were transferred to University Medical Center in Jackson where officials say they are in good condition.
