String of car burglaries has Lowndes Co. Sheriff asking for the community’s assistance
LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A string of car burglaries has the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department asking for the community’s assistance.
The Sheriff’s Department is encouraging people to check their security camera footage from late Sunday night and early Monday morning if you live in the New Hope Community.
They appear to both be wearing sweatpants or joggers with a dark hooded jacket and a mask.
According to the department, deputies responded to a home after two masked people were caught burglarizing vehicles through a home surveillance system.
When law enforcement arrived, the pair was gone.
Later that day, several other reports came in reporting vehicles being burglarized in the Pinecrest Circle area.
Other homeowners provided more footage showing the individuals riding bikes in the neighborhood around the time that the crimes happened.
