Sunny & Warm Pattern, Watching Hurricane Dorian
SUMMARY: High pressure is taking control of our area and that means great late-summer weather as we near Labor Day weekend. Some rain/storms are possible late in the weekend but odds remain low at this time.
HURRICANE DORIAN: The system is expected approach the east coast of Florida late in the weekend. Some model data suggest the possibility that Dorian could move over Florida and get into the northeastern Gulf. It’s something that will need to be monitored going through the weekend.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clear, quiet, and comfortable. Lows in the low 60s.
THURSDAY: Bright sunshine and low humidity. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. ENE winds 5-10 mph.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Clear and cool. Lows near 60 with some spots getting into the upper 50s. Open up the windows!
FRIDAY-SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and warm. Highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s with lows in the 60s. Don’t forget to wear your sunscreen and sunglasses. Weather looks great for high school games Friday night and college games on Saturday.
SUNDAY-MONDAY: We’re going to keep a 20-30% chance of pop-up showers and storms going. It’s not looking like a washout by any means but there could be some rain around as a little bit of moisture nudges in from the east. Highs will remain around 90.
TUESDAY-WEDNESDAY: Mostly sunny, dry, and hot weather is possible, assuming our area stays on the western side of Dorian’s remnants. Highs may be back into the low to mid 90s but it all depends on where Dorian ends up. If Dorian does become and issue for parts of our immediate area then the forecast will be much, much different. Stay tuned.
