Suspect Accused Of Passing Bad Checks In North Miss. Busted In Tupelo

TUPELO, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – Jermaine Sanders, the suspect being sought by Investigators of the District Attorney’s Office was captured on Friday September 9th, in Tupelo, thanks to assistance from the public.

An arrest warrant was issued for Sanders on September 6 in Oktibbeha County for allegedly passing checks on a closed account. The Tupelo Police Department apprehended Sanders on Friday, September the 9th where he racked up further charges of Public Drunk and Providing False Information.

Further investigation by the District Attorney’s Office uncovered that Sanders has allegedly passed nineteen (19) worthless checks throughout the Golden Triangle with losses to local merchants totaling over five thousand ($5,000) dollars.

Sanders will first have to deal with the charges in Tupelo then he will be transported to Oktibbeha County where the Felony False Pretense as well as a Warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for violating his parole will be served on him.
