Teen Dies In Monday Crash

BENTON COUNTY (MHP PRESS RELEASE)

Troopers are still investigating a one-vehicle crash in Benton County that claimed the life of a teenager. Troopers responded to MS 5, north of Ashland, at approximately 9:45am.

Upon arriving it appeared Wynter T Thomas, 19, of Michigan City, was traveling south, in a 2004 Ford F150, when she apparently lost control of her vehicle and collided into an embankment.

Thomas was transported to Region One, in Memphis, with serious injuries. Her sister, Trameya Thomas, 17, received fatal injuries in the crash and died on the scene.
