The Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce hosts Legislative Luncheon

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- Area lawmakers take some time out to recap this year’s Legislative Session.

The Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Legislative Luncheon Friday.

Legislators took questions from Chamber members.

Many of those questions centered on education, grant money, and roads and bridges. The event gives the legislators a chance to connect with the people they serve.

“That works kinda good to sometimes it works Hargrove because sometimes the questions are loaded, but it’s a good thing that the people have input and get us some personal questions of the representatives that’s a good thing to always be able to connect with your people,” Democratic Representative District 42 Carl Mickens.

This is the 3rd year the Chamber has hosted the luncheon.
