They Say He Tried To Escape Twice

Gacody Lee

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)-A West Point man is facing felony charges after authorities say he tried to escape…twice.  24 year-old Gacody Lee was arrested on charges of Disturbing the Peace, No Driver’s License, and Possession of a Controlled Substance Monday.  West Point Sheriff Eddie Scott says Lee was let out into the yard where he started climbing the wall to escape.  Sheriffs Scott says he got tangled up in the barbwire and deputies had to pull him out and send him with city police to the hospital.  After arriving for minor cuts from his attempted escape police say Lee asked to use the restroom but instead of going kept right on walking.  Lee was shackled and did not make it far before police apprehended him.  He’s charged with Felony Escape.
