Three Arrested on Drug Charges in Monroe Co.

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Three people are charged with having meth in Monroe County.

Deputies arrested Christina Abbott and Clinton Joshlin of Carbon Hill, Alabama, plus Dustin Long, of Aberdeen, in a span of two days.

The trio is charged with possession of controlled substances.

They were arrested in two traffic stops – one on Highway 278, and the other on Lake Lilly Road in Prairie.

Long has since been released on a $15,000 bond, while Abbott and Joshlin are awaiting arraignment.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says charges are also expected to be filed against the trio in connection with recent mail thefts in Hamilton.
