Three Arrests In Tish. Co.; Domestic Violence, Drugs

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On August 15, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department was called to the NMMC – Iuka due to a female being treated at the facility. TheJOHNNY BERNARD JOHNSON female was being treated for a severe cut to the top of the skull and informed the officers that the person that brought her to the hospital was the one that inflicted the injury to her.

The deputies then found the person that brought the female to the ER and learned that both of them have been in a relationship for quite some time.

Due to the nature of the injuries, the officers arrested the individual and transported him to the Tishomingo County Jail.

JOHNNY BERNARD JOHNSON, 50-year-old black male of 45 CR 111 Tishomingo, Mississippi was charged with FELONY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (AGGRAVATED ASSAULT).

Bond for JOHNSON was set at $50,000.00 and remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail.

On August 16, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff Deputies stopped a vehicle in the Burnsville area for an expired tag.DANIEL BROCK YATES

During the traffic stop, the deputies noticed and observed the driver attempt to hide something in the vehicle.

The driver was removed from the vehicle and with a Search Incident to Arrest, the deputies found several bags of Marijuana that were packaged to sell along with firearms.

The driver was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

DANIEL BROCK YATES,27-year-old white male of 51 CR 605 Corinth, Mississippi was charged with FELONY POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED DANIEL YATES TRAFFIC STOPSUBSTANCE WITH INTENT TO SELL.

Bond was set at $2,500 and YATES was able to make bond.

Also on August 16, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of “shots fired” at the Whitfield Trailer Park off of 172 East.

Once on scene the deputies learned that a neighbor had fired his gun toward the other neighbors, due to one of the neighbors yelling for help.

The deputies found the individual that was yelling for help and noticed that she had been in some type of altercation.

It was determined that a domestic situation had taken place at Whitfield Trailer Park and the individual that was pointed out by the neighbors and the female was transported to the Tishomingo County Jail.

It was then learned that the female that had been assaulted is currently married to the individual that was arrested.

The female was transported by ambulance to the NMMC – Iuka where she was treated for her injuries and released.

ANDRE TRAYVON VITADAL LEE, 23-year-old black male of 4 Whitfield Trailer Park Iuka, Mississippi has been charged with FELONY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (AGGRAVATEDANDRE TRAYVON LEE ASSAULT), and 2 counts of FELONY MALICIOUS MISCHIEF.

LEE is still waiting for his bond on all charges to be set and remains in custody at the Tishomingo County Jail.
