Columbus republican and community activist Glenn Lautzenhiser qualified late this afternoon to challenge incumebnt Democrat Robert Smith. “I have wrestled with this, I’ve gone back and forth, I’ve weighed the pros and cons. I have come to the conclusion that this is what I should do but one thing that I want to say is that I am not going to run a negative campaign. I am going to tell the others what I think I bring to the table and let them make their decision accordingly, ” Lautzenhiser.

Smith is running as a Democrat and Columbus businessman Bo Jarrett is running as an Independent. The three will meet in the June 4th general election.
